Timothy J. Babineau, M.D., joins Shan Sinha during this episode of “Under The Canopy” to discuss the changes he has seen in health systems over his 35-year career.
Today, we are pleased to launch our new video series, Under The Canopy, which will feature conversations between Shan Sinha, Canopy’s CEO, and health system leaders.
In this episode, Shan sits down with Timothy J. Babineau, M.D., who has spent more than 35 years in the healthcare industry, to learn more about the emergence of workplace violence in hospitals.
Babineau, whose parents were both medical professionals, started his career as a general surgeon before moving into an administrative role.
Although workplace violence in hospitals is a common occurrence now, until a decade ago, it was pretty rare. Babineau attributes the growth of violence in hospitals to the pandemic, untreated mental health concerns, and an overall change in societal priorities. To learn more about the hurdles that Babineau has faced — and overcome — on his mission to end workplace violence, view the Under The Canopy episode below.
