SMS Terms and Conditions

Program Description

Canopy sends critical SMS notifications to hospital staff members who are in close proximity to a colleague who has activated a duress signal and requires immediate assistance. These alerts are a vital part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Messages are sent only when a verified duress event occurs near your location within the hospital premises.

How to Opt-Out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. To stop receiving duress alerts, simply text "STOP" to the short code from which you received a message. After you send the "STOP" message, we will send you one final SMS to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from this system.

If you wish to re-join, you must contact your system administrator to be re-enrolled, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

How to Get Help

If you are experiencing any issues with the messaging program or need assistance, text "HELP" to the short code for more information, or contact Canopy support at help@canopyworks.com. You can also refer to the training documentation provided during your onboarding.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message Frequency

Message frequency is extremely low and event-dependent. You will only receive an SMS alert if a colleague near you triggers a duress signal. This is expected to be a very infrequent occurrence.

Rates and Charges

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
